If you’re coming to the zoo for a program or having the Zoomobile come to you, use the materials provided below to reinforce the science concepts your students will be learning. These pre- and post-visit lessons are designed for the 3rd grade level but can be adapted for other grades.
Animal Life Cycles
Bats in Our Backyard
Reserve one of our themed teaching kits for use in your elementary classroom. Kits contain lessons, games, models, artifacts, and books that teach students about animal biology, life cycles, and adaptations that help them survive in their habitats.
Amphibians: Students can hop, run, and wiggle into the wonderful world of amphibians where they’ll discover all of the unique characteristics these animals possess.
Northwoods Wildlife: Students will learn about native animals great and small and how they survive seasonal changes here in the north.
