About Eco-Explorers

Ages 9-12

Explore careers working with animals, practice your zoology skills and more by choosing from a variety of exciting 4-day camps focused on wildlife and conservation. Come for a half- or full-day adventure and experience lots of hands-on activities and animal interactions.

Eco-Explorers Camp sessions run for four days (Monday-Thursday). Morning sessions start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 noon. Afternoon sessions start at 1:00 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. Full day sessions are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and include an additional fee for lunch supervision and activities. Full day participants should bring a bag lunch or plan to purchase lunch at the Safari Café.

If a camp is full, you can join the waiting list through the online registration process.

Animal Careers:

June 24-27, 2019 | 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon

Explore careers working with animals and experience what it’s like to be a zookeeper, animal trainer, biologist, and veterinarian. This camp is designed for youth who have completed grades 3-5 or are ages 9-11.


Zoofari

June 24-27, 2019 | 1:00-4:00 p.m.
This camp is full. Waiting list available.

Connect with wildlife through animal encounters, nature exploration, games and experiments! Grab a backpack, strap on your hiking boots, and join us as we embark on a zoofari! This camp is designed for youth who have completed grades 3-5 or are ages 9-11.


Zookeeper Boot Camp

August 5-8, 2019 | 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (Full Day)

Tie your hair back and leave the flip-flops at home! You’ll have a blast getting down and dirty as you spend the week learning what it’s like to work with animals at a zoo. This camp is designed for youth who have completed grades 3-6 or are ages 9-12.


Zookeeper Boot Camp

August 19-22, 2019 | 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (Full Day)

$84 Members | $104 Non-Members

Full Day (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) for 4 days
$184 Members | $224 Non-Members

Camp t-shirts are optional and cost an additional $10 during check out.
